About Me
I came from a rural community in Southeastern Ohio. I attended a small public school and was privileged to have some great teachers who taught not only the content of a book but helped give you the understanding to apply that knowledge. My family, though not Christian, were very hard working and extremely honest.
My work experience began when I was 13 years old when I worked at a neighboring farm and also in a small community grocery store. I did not attend Church on any regular basis until I was a young adult.
I was saved in October 1974 and joined a small Church near my home. I still have my membership there today. Soon after my conversion I married my wife, Brenda Payne Fowler. Brenda's Father was a Church Pastor and Brenda was saved at a young age and was a mature Christian when we were married.
We have two Children, a son Bryan, who works in the Media Industry and a daughter, Tiffany, who works in the Family Owned and Operated Floor Covering Store.
I began Preaching in 1975 and accepted my first Pastor job in March 1976 at New Zion Church where I stayed for 20 years. After leaving New Zion I Pastored Decatur Church for 12 years and then Perkins Ridge Church for 3 years. I am now back at New Zion Church as their Pastor.
From 1989 until the Present, I have served as the Moderator of the Centerpoint Association of United Baptists Churches.
In addition to Pastoring, I was honored to be in Revivals at many Churches across the Country. I have been privileged to Preach Jesus Christ in 7 States.
In the past few years God has allowed me to expand this Ministry through other Media. The Old Time Religion Hour began in May 1989. We also have an internet Ministry and are presently using YouTube as a means to share The Gospel.
We are now beginning a new Ministry through internet Bible Studies which we are very excited about.
